Acoustic URL changes – key dates and actions

We previously shared with you some upcoming changes for Acoustic Campaign. These brand updates include changes to product URLs, affecting how users’ access and integrate with Acoustic products.

Please read through the following changes to avoid any connectivity issues.

Updates for Custom Domains

Acoustic is performing infrastructure upgrades to Acoustic Campaign. In conjunction with these upgrades, Campaign customers must perform certain actions to avoid service interruption. Customers with custom email domains will need to modify the Acoustic-provided IP addresses after their Pod’s infrastructure upgrade date to avoid interruption to email click reporting and bounce / reply responses.

Details are available here

Key dates:

  • Pod 7 – by June 6th
  • Pod 8 – by June 11th
  • Pod 6 – by June 17th

IP address whitelisting:

In the coming weeks, as part of the infrastructure upgrades, Acoustic will be updating the IP addresses for the Acoustic product URLs. If your company whitelists IP addresses to use Campaign, or connect on-premise endpoints (e.g. Unica Campaign), then this may impact your Acoustic Campaign functionality.

To maintain scalability of the platform, the URLs do not have a static IP and may change in future. So, if your company uses IP addresses to whitelist, you will be required to change this approach to instead use the hostname (URL) in the whitelist. The majority of firewalls support whitelisting of URL hostnames.

Please note this will be managed by your Network team. Ensure these changes are made by below dates or you will lose access to Acoustic Campaign:

  • Pod 7 – May 22, 2020
  • Pod 8 – May 31, 2020
  • Pod 6 – June 6, 2020
  • Pods 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 9 – TBC

If a URL is listed as “Continuing Availability through 2020,” this indicates that there is no currently scheduled end-of-life date for that URL. In these cases, we encourage customers to adopt the new URL as soon as possible, even though there is not a specified deadline.

Note: there are no changes scheduled for Mobile Push SDK Base URL. Mobile customers will be notified if anything changes.
